How long have you been in business?
Ayana's Glory Locs has been in business for 11 years progressing from a home based business to a new Premier salon. We are the only natural hair care shop in Winston-Salem having a distinct ambiance and service appeal.
What is your primary product or service?
Ayana's Glory Locs primary service is natural hair care that initially focuses on the condition of the hair before exploring various styling options.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
My interest in natural hair grew from a decision to free my self from the "creamy crack" known as the "Perm". Once free I began to see the beauty in my natural hair and no longer looked at it as a curse, but a blessing.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
1. A commitment to expand knowledge of natural hair through keeping abreast of new trends and attending industry trainings, workshops and seminars.
2. Establishing a professional atmosphere to ensure that all clients receive the best service possible.
3. Being certain that the health of the client's hair and scalp are foremost. If we cannot treat the hair and scalp conditions successfully, we strongly recommend qualified assistance from doctors specializing in your unique condition.
4. Educating our clients on the importance of natural hair. We realize that for some it may be somewhat of a scary experience, but we speak in detail about our clients' expectations and how our services can best meet those expectations.
5. Maintaining a clean, pleasant, relaxing environment within the shop.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
At this time there is only one Ayana's Glory Locs. Although there have been requests to start other locations and/or franchase Ayana's Glory Locs. 0ur current goal is to continuously develop and grow this one business...and then who knows.

The shop is located at 307 Thurston Street, just two block off South Stratford Road near the Hanes Mall area.

We accept cash,checks and most major credit cards.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
It is a sole proprietorship owned and operated by Ayana Hardin.
What are your hours of operation?
Our hours of operation are Wednesday thru Friday,opening at 9am. We service our last clients up to 5:30pm. Saturday hours are 9am,serviceing our last clients at 3pm.
